Designing for Growth and Student Success

At The Frameworks Company, we believe that a website should be more than just a digital presence. That philosophy guided us through one of our most meaningful projects of early 2024: the launch of PreCodeCamp (PCC).

PreCodeCamp is more than a website. It’s a digital entry point for students taking their first steps into the world of coding. Our job was to bring that vision to life through intentional design, strong branding, and a seamless user experience.

The Mission Behind PreCodeCamp

PreCodeCamp was created to give future developers a place to explore the basics of programming before committing to a full-time bootcamp. The goal was to reduce barriers to entry, offer beginner-friendly resources, and help students build confidence in a low-pressure environment.

This mission demanded a thoughtful approach to design and strategy. The site had to be inviting, informative, and easy to navigate—especially for those new to tech. Just as importantly, it needed to generate leads, support enrollment efforts, and scale with the brand as it grows.

Our Approach: Strategy Meets Execution

We approached PreCodeCamp as more than just a client project—it was a full-scale brand and digital experience build. Our work included everything from visual identity and messaging to user flow and technical implementation.

Branding and Visual Identity

We started by developing a clean, modern logo that reflects PCC’s values: simplicity, opportunity, and progress. The visual language uses bold typography and approachable colors to create a professional yet welcoming look and feel.

User Experience and Navigation

Many of PreCodeCamp’s visitors are students with little to no technical background. With that in mind, we created a highly intuitive navigation system and a structure that naturally guides users toward key actions. Features like “Start Here” buttons and course progression paths help users feel supported and oriented from the very beginning.

Content That Builds Confidence

Instead of listing abstract curriculum topics, we wrote course overviews that tell a story. Each one shows what students will learn, how it applies to real-world coding, and how it builds toward more advanced skills. These content choices were designed to reduce uncertainty and help users visualize their path forward.

Lead Capture with Purpose

Every element of the site was built with conversions in mind—but without being pushy. We implemented subtle but effective forms and calls-to-action throughout the site. These allow students to request more information, join email lists, or begin the application process at natural decision points.
